During the International Teachmeet in BETT Show 2018 in London, was presented our international “Erasmus+” project “ACTIVE in NATURE, ENJOYING the NATURE!” and eTwinning project “ANEN”
The 3rd mobility with students of our program ERASMUS+, ANEN, took part during the first week of May 2017 in Klaipeda (Lithuania). Six estudents of 2nd and 3rd of ESO and two teachers of our High School travelled to that beautiful region on the Baltic seashore.
We had the opportunity to know the culture and Nature heritage of this particularly amazing country. Besides, we did different kind of activities such as attending a music lesson, geography lesson , DYS activities or dance. Moreover, we shared games with our Nowegian , French and Lithuanian mates.
It was absolutely fantastic the visit to the Venté Cape and “Guard Battery, Memel-Nord” Coast.
Regarding the school and Lithuanian culture we would like point out they are totally different to ours; Music and traditions are very important for them. Furthermore, the school does not have fence. Their typical dishes are breaded chicken, mashed patatoes and vegetable soup.
Thanks Lithuanian friends for this wonderful week!

The first learning, teaching, training activity with both teachers and students in this project was in Alicante from 1 – 7 May 2016. The Spanish team had planned an exciting week with lots of water activities, and the Norwegian team consistet in seven students and two teachers. They where really eager to participate in all the week program. The trip started with a warm welcome from our Spanish team. It continued with ICT-workshops and English lessons before we went outside and enjoyed both different outdoor activities and the sunny enviroment. The second day was packed with fysical activities and we tried different things like stand up paddle, kayak and volleyball. For the Norwegian team it was fantastic to spend a whole day on the beach. Then we went to Tabarca Island for two days, and our team spent the night outdoors. We got to try snorkeling, and again, enjoyed the beach. On Tabarca we got a historical sightseeing wich was very interesting, and we also had an art workshop where we painted on stones. The last day in Alicante we evalueted the trip, picked out a winner from the painted stones and said our goodbyes. What a fantastic week!
Our second mobility with the students took place the last week of September in St Gervais Sur-Mare (France). Six students and two teachers from Spain went to that wonderful village in the Hérault department in the Languedoc-Roussillon region in southern France in order to enjoy the Nature wit students from Norway, Lithuania and France.
The week was an ideal opportunity for doing interesting activities. On the one hand, students and teachers could spend time together sharing English and Geography lessons. For example, we learnt how to explain which were our hobbies and tastes. Moreover, students were able to getting familiar with some sports, such as climbing or badminton. However, the highlight of the meeting was the water activities; specially, the canoeing excursion from Colombières to Tarassac and the camping night in the middle of the forest.
On the other hand, the watersports were outstanding. The whole Spanish team demonstrated how we love the sea, doing windsurfing, catamaran and sailing. It was an spectacular experience!
Finally, we were proud to take part in the inagural event of the new name of the Forest “des Ecrivains Combattants ; the same new name for its school. We had fun in a big party for ending the meeting.
Thank you very much for all the French Team, specially for its students who tought us the meaning of the words: fellowship and friendship!
Our first mobility with the students took place from the 2nd of May to the 6th of May of 2016, as the starting point of the Program Erasmus +, ANEN: “Active in Nature, Enjoying the Nature”. Sixteen students and teachers from Spain, together with eighting students and seven teachers from Norway, France and Lithuania.
Our goals to achieve were: In the first place, that all the students meet each other face to face and begin to interact and develop their communicative skills; as second goal, their participation in several outdoor activities, such as beach volley, kayak and paddle surf, mixed in international teams; and finally, working in the app about Tabarca Island which is the Natural Reserve that the Project is based on, looking for information about its History and taking wáter pictures. Furthermore, improving the student´s creativity through different workshops.
The meeting was very successful. We began with the traditional “Welcome day” at the school, IES Leonardo da Vinci in Alicante. We enjoyed seeing the spectacular “batukada”, played by the group: “La ciudad de los colores” and we learnt a lot of things about eTwinning.

The high school, IES Leonardo Da Vinci de Alicante takes part in the European Program Erasmus+, ANEN: “Active in Nature-Enjoying the Nature”; its objective is improving the communication skills in English of our students of 2º,3º y 4º ESO, at the same time they improve their digital competences and encourage to respect and protect the Nature .
In this Project, four schools share experiences and work together (one from Norway, one from Lithuania, one from France and one from Spain). All of us worked in a previous project about Natural Parks and the results were fantastic. We want to continue to work in several items that we couldn´t end in the previous project, such us digital skills that remained outstanding, whereas, we would like to continue exchange ideas about innovation methodologies of teaching. In fact, one of our key principles is understanding the process of teaching-learning like a set of shared experiencies where it´s posible to learn enjoying yourself.
We want that our students are the real protagonists of the Project and do all outcomes, such as the materials for the web about Tabarca, the workshops and the outdoor activities.
In this context, we have done the first activity of the program: “The logo competition . In order to encourage the students to take part in it, we chose a symbolic award. We recived 13 beautiful logos about our topic, Tabarca. Most of them had a high quality.
The jury was made up for teachers involved in the project and gave the prize to Jenifer Mariova (2ºESO C). The quality highlighted in all of them and they were showed in the hall of our high school since 22nd of December 2015.
3 December was the day, when the students participating in a project gathered together for a workshop, where the Christmas cards were made. A cozy talk about Christmas traditions in Lithuania and other project partner countries helped to understand how unique each country is, to feel the upcoming holiday. The time in a workshop has passed quickly and the own made postcards cheered project partners and the elderly living alone.
On the first day of winter project students changed their learning in a school into the learning in a museum – it was the day of learning differently. Gedminai progymasium students attended educational programs “Klaipeda: from the royal capital to the port city”, “The path of bread”, “The lost city”. Students deepened their knowledge about the history of Klaipeda city development from the eighteenth century up to nowadays, listened to the story about the grain sowing, harvesting, threshing and binding, cleaning, milling and baking process, acknowledged with all the old Klaipeda region tools used for beard baking. They did all the given interesting activities.
