The third mobility with students, regarding to the ERASMUS+ program ANEN (Active in Nature, Enjoying the Nature!),took place in Klaipeda (Lithuania), during the week, from 7th to 13rd of March 2017. Six students of 2nd and 3rd of ESO and two teachers (Marta Armendia and Julia Rodes) of our high school, IES LEONARDO DA VINCI of Alicante, went to this nice country on the seashore of the Baltic Sea to take part in interesting and different activities with other students and teachers from Norway, France and Lithuania.
We arrived in Khaunas airport (Lithuania) one day before the meeting, because we wanted to travel by direct flight from Alicante and so we could have the opportunity to share the “Mum´s day” with our host families. Some of us went to the zoo, others went to the beach or to the countryside.
On the one hand, during the week, we did a lot of things at school; for example, we learned to make a flute with recycled materials in a musical lesson and we engaged in some Lithuanian popular dances and games. We made murals about the Natural Park and ICT pressentions were made by international teams. However, we liked the “Guard Battery, Memel-Nord” trip the most.
It was an amazing experience for us, despite the weather. When we woke up that morning it was snowing!
We left the school and went to this beautiful place near the Baltic Sea and, suddenly, the sun raised. We could pick up stones on the beach and look for amber. In the afternoon, we visited a Second World War bunker and a war veteran explained to us a lot of interesting things about the life during those days.
We enjoyed the Ventè Cape trip too, especially when we went up to the top of the lighthouse and we could admire the landscape of the seashore.
The 3rd mobility with students of our program ERASMUS+, ANEN, took part during the first week of May 2017 in Klaipeda (Lithuania). Six estudents of 2nd and 3rd of ESO and two teachers of our High School travelled to that beautiful region on the Baltic seashore.
We had the opportunity to know the culture and Nature heritage of this particularly amazing country. Besides, we did different kind of activities such as attending a music lesson, geography lesson , DYS activities or dance. Moreover, we shared games with our Nowegian , French and Lithuanian mates.
It was absolutely fantastic the visit to the Venté Cape and “Guard Battery, Memel-Nord” Coast.
Regarding the school and Lithuanian culture we would like point out they are totally different to ours; Music and traditions are very important for them. Furthermore, the school does not have fence. Their typical dishes are breaded chicken, mashed patatoes and vegetable soup.
Thanks Lithuanian friends for this wonderful week!
